Writing therapy

This is me, without the hilarious crying. I love this scene… I relate to the French music, the proximity to the sea, the crazy writing and the explosion of emotions – all mixed together.

My mind has been buzzing with writing ideas this past week. I think it’s my new coping strategy with this pandemic and all the measures that have been taken. One especially is hard to swallow (on top of not being able to wander weekends in Nice) – no flights.

My initial response was to barricade myself in the kitchen and cook the life out of me.

Only that implies eating as well and I do plan to fit into my dresses this summer.

So, I decided that instead I should have a look at my blog and try to post more often – since now I have time.

It’s ridiculous, but I have always had time to do things that I enjoy. Only that in order to write, I need to be in a certain mood and headspace.

I need to feel peaceful and somehow calm, safe, feel good. And although I have a hard time with some lockdown measures, I am lucky to be confined in a place I love: my own home (since Nov when I signed the papers and got the key). Yay, me!

This is the perfect time and space to grab a coffee or a glass of wine, my MacBook Air and type away.

Tell me dear reader… how are you coping with the lockdown?

I’ve been creating a plan to work on my blog as well by redefining what I would like to write about. This was a great post.
