Shades of grey and shades of pink
This post’s title is not so much related to the book (that I did’t even read) “50 shades of grey” but to its title: “shades of” as if nothing is either black or white in life. As for the pink is a reference to “ma vie en rose” and how intense that pink can get sometimes too.
I think my idea would be to try to get the right shades together… it was my favourite designer of all time Christian Dior who apparently said that the only colours left standing will be grey and pink. So let’s make it count, make the right mixes and don’t forget to have some fun!!!
I was just considering choices in outfits and colours, as I was thinking about this and decided to write another post. I am just about to go have some tea and cookies at Sofitel and the occasion deserves a nice outfit, so here I am sharing another one of my discoveries, for those that are not already aware: RODIER! Check their website: http://www.rodier.fr/category.php?id_category=98
I am going to wear this dress 😉
The fabric is just amazing and it is no wonder! As the bag says, founded in 1852, this jewel – I can’t believe I ignored up until recently / walk past the shop in ignorance, – is actually originally one of the main suppliers of fabrics for haute couture fashion houses like Dior and Chanel!
Now that’s a story to keep alive and these are the heritage brands that I really hope manage to keep their tradition and savoir faire for the future!
Happy afternoon and Sunday to all!
