Stay at home guilty pleasures
It goes without saying that working from home is very different to going into the office. One advantage is that I wake up after 8am and no longer 6am – which means more sleep and ‘un reveil en douceur’!
More broadly, being home 23 hours per day has it’s perks.
Here’s a list of what makes me happy during this madness:
- spending all day in my PJs if I feel like it
- having a glass of wine after work, on my own – apparently now I own a bar!
- eating chocolate every day – to keep the mood up! (my excuse)
- watching clips of the Kardashians (very guilty and ashamed) on Instagram
- skipping breakfast to have a big pancake lunch – it’s brunch every day!
- leaving the bed undone 🙂
***What’s your stay at home guilty pleasure?
I appreciate not having to waste time in public transport and I have the feeling that I have more time. That can’t be true – there are still 24h in a day, even during a pandemic. But being home somehow put me off watching TV, or I binged too much during the first month. So I find myself being quiet at home, reading or blogging or pretending to ‘work out’ and trying out new recipes.
It’s as if I rediscovered things about myself… and I do more of the things that make me feel good and fulfilled.
