France – a country to eat, love and chill in
La France! Beautiful France… yummy France and chill in France is not such a bad of a place to live in, in the end!
I am joking of course, I could have never believed or suggested that France would be a bad place to live in. Yes, I know that the tourists are somewhat disappointed apparently by the lack of politeness of the typical (and here I had to mention it correctly) Parisian waiter or Parisian people, but I assure you that many French people are lovely and very welcoming! If you haven’t found one yet, keep looking! They are out there, I am living proof of it.
France must be seriously one of the most gourmand countries in the world, and during the last month in Strasbourg I must have tried at least 15 different patisseries/bread makers and I can tell you that no croissant, pain au chocolat or croissant aux amandes is the same! They are all amazing and unique in their own way, from crunchier, to softer more buttery taste, more or less filling and more glacage or almonds on the croissant – an eatable piece of heaven! Once you start you can never get enough, so once the habit is created, you also have to start thinking of maybe adding a sports activity to your weekly schedule!
Now, isn’t that wonderful? Who knew that actually croissants and all these other yummy things we see in French window bakeries could actually motivate to be more healthy? ;D Having the best of both worlds is magical!
A country to love… beyond the stereotypical Paris the city of love, France should be loved for what it was and mostly what it is now. It’s all in the now and here you can go back and have a look at my post on Shades of grey and shades of pink. What I mean is that regardless of the craziness around, if I look closely this place has so much to give. France offers so much: natural resources, fauna, flora, sport activities, regional food, wine, champagne, chateaux, etc etc. Just let yourself be enveloped by its perfume and this country will surprise you in many ways!!
And now I will chill, at home, in France…
